Two summers ago I discovered Calvin Harris – and I must say, it was an album that was pretty easy to dig. It’s not genre transcending or anything, but it’s fun electronic pop music. “The Girls” and “Acceptable in the 80s” were/are fun and they rightfully turned into pop-dance-whatever hits.
Mr. Harris continues his creation of, well, relevant pop music while exploring his own boundaries, and the (somewhat) new music video for his current single “I’m not Alone” is crazy. The video is fun, but I personally am just in strange awe of the man’s use of the signature “trance synth” sound.
This can, and hopefully will, be burning up dance floors soon.
Listen, watch, enjoy!
